This year, Newport will host its 61st annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. The parade itself kicks off in the morning from City Hall on Broadway but the crowds start forming a couple hours beforehand. You'll want to make sure you're there nice and early. Newport, 846-5081.

Rock artist Harvey Garbage is teaming up with the dive bar News Cafe to bring local acts from around New England to rock the night away.
